31 broad street is an ambitious project to create an innovative new centre of learning and culture at the heart of Herefordshire providing providing new opportunities for the exploration of resources and services, enabling discovery of new information, ideas and processes that supports individual and group learning.
Behind the iconic neo-gothic exterior, the vision is to radically increase the floor size of the current building by completely re-imagining its interior and technology so as to creating an engage n inspire place that will engage and inspire all who use it.
The proposed range of services would include the current services working together, plus superfast broadband highways to the Herefordshire Archive and Records Centre (HARC), other parts of the Museum service and libraries around the county. But it will also include new and exciting facilities considered valuable by the community.
To this end, 31 broad street group is currently:
i.exploring the demand and desire for such an innovative new centre of learning and culture;
i.undertaking a feasibility study to identify the technical, financial, legal, operational and sustainable opportunities and constraints of the project;
ii.developing a fundraising case and a fundraising plan for the project.
These activities will be completed by the end of May 2017 but require YOUR ideas and involvement.
